Pet Therapy Program

The NCSSM-Morganton Pet Therapy Program is coordinated by the Counseling Department, our volunteer student leaders who serve in the role of Pet Therapy Ambassador (PTAs), and our visiting therapy dog & facilitator team. We are so grateful for all of our therapy dog and faciliator teams that visit our campus! 🐾

Pet Therapy Ambassadors (PTAs)

PTAs plan, promote, and co-lead pet therapy visits with the pet therapy dog and facilitator team. PTAs also assist in programming efforts to expand the pet therapy program by exploring other ways we can incorporate animal-assisted therapy into student support.
